Karnataka youngster Devdutt Padikkal, who was roped in this season, has been very good for the team at the top of the order. He has scored 243 runs in seven matches so far including three half-centuries and played a crucial part in providing good starts so far.
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg also felt that including Padikkal in RCB’s team made it look a strong unit. Taking to twitter, the chinaman bowler wrote ,“The rise of Padikkal has added extra spice in the top four of RCB taking a huge weight off the shoulders of the three big guns Finch, Kohli, & De Villiers.
