Hyderabad: The holy month of Ramzan is all set to start from Wednesday and the first Roza (fasting) will be observed on the same day. From Tuesday night, Taraweeh, special prayers held during Ramzan, will be organised in mosques across Telangana.
The Markazi-Ruyat-e Hilal-Committee, which met at its office in Bachelor’s Building on Monday evening to take a decision on sighting of the new moon, said that the new moon was not sighted on Monday evening and hence Tuesday will be the 30th day of the Islamic month of Shaban. The committee members also got in touch with its members in other districts of Telangana and neighbouring States.
