Hostel manager assaulted by women over alleged harassment of minor girl in Madhapur
A tense situation unfolded at a women’s hostel in Madhapur, Hyderabad, after a group of women accused the hostel manager, Satya Prakash, of sexually assaulting a minor girl. The women allegedly stormed the premises, assaulted the manager, and damaged property.
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at a women’s hostel in Madhapur, after a group of women attacked the hostel manager alleging that he sexually assaulted a minor girl on Saturday.
As per available information, a 16-year-old girl was residing at the hostel when several women accused the manager, identified as Satya Prakash, of behaving inappropriately with her. The enraged women barged into the hostel premises, verbally abused and physically assaulted Prakash and also vandalised the property, including the reception area.
Upon receiving information, the Madhapur police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Both Satya Prakash and the women involved in the attack were shifted to the police station for questioning.
While the women alleged sexual harassment, Satya Prakash denied the charges, claiming that he was deliberately attacked.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
