Hot air balloon festival to offer sky rides in Hyderabad from Jan 16
Hyderabad will host a hot air balloon festival from January 16 to 18, offering daytime flights from city outskirts and a night glow balloon show at Parade Ground, with 15 international balloons and tickets priced at around Rs 500.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad residents can gear up to fly in the hot air balloons as the Telangana Tourism department is hosting the hot air balloon festival from January 16 to 18. The festival is set to offer long distance day time flight from city outskirts and evening night glow balloon show at Parade Ground.
As many as 15 international standard hot air balloons from European countries, with foreign pilots, will take part in the festival. The passengers are expected to travel around 10 kms, which is likely to take about 40 minutes. The corporation identified three locations – Hyderabad Golf Club, Jalamandali Park near Gandipet and another area near Himayatsagar – to offer services to passengers.
Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the tickets priced around Rs.500 will be shortly made available on the https://in.bookmyshow.com/. He urged people to take part in large numbers in the festivals being organised by the Tourism department.
