Hotel chairman booked over sexual harassment complaint

A case has been registered against the chairman of a star hotel in Hyderabad following a complaint by a 35-year-old employee alleging sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour. She also alleged that HR and IT staff threatened her and forced her out

Hyderabad: A case has been registered against the chairman of a star hotel following a complaint by a 35-year-old female employee alleging sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour.

According to the complaint, the woman, who had been working at the hotel since 2023, alleged that the chairman made inappropriate remarks and, when she sought a salary hike, allegedly demanded sexual favours.

She further alleged that HR and IT staff threatened her and forced her out of the job.

Based on the complaint, the Begumpet Police registered a case and are investigating.
