Hotel staffer held for two-wheeler thefts in Hyderabad

Madhapur police arrested a 21-year-old hotel employee for allegedly stealing motorcycles parked outside homes and hostels. Three stolen two-wheelers were recovered from his possession following his confession during questioning.

Hyderabad: The Madhapur police arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a series of two-wheeler thefts and recovered three stolen motorcycles from his possession.

The suspect, who was working as a front-office boy at a hotel, allegedly targeted motorcycles parked outside houses, hostels as well as other parking areas.

The police said he would remove the ignition plug, connect the wires and start the vehicles before stealing them.

During routine patrolling, police noticed him moving suspiciously on a motorcycle near Ayyappa Society in Madhapur and intercepted him. During questioning, he allegedly confessed to the thefts.

Based on his information, police recovered three stolen two-wheelers that had been concealed near his residence. Further investigation is underway.
