Korutla MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar comforting students in hospital
Jagtial: About 30 students of Social Welfare Residential School, Korutla, fell sick, with many suffering from fever and cough for the last three days. However, school authorities allegedly did not respond to the situation.
With the fever of many of the students increasing after breakfast on Tuesday, authorities shifted them to the Korutla government area hospital and alerted their parents.
While a majority of them were discharged after providing treatment, a few students were admitted in the hospital for further treatment. On the other hand, treatment is being continued for other students by setting up a medical camp in the school.
Knowing about the incident, Korutla MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar visited the hospital and comforted the students and parents. He instructed doctors to provide better treatment to students.
DMHO Pramood Kumar, who visited the hospital, said there was no need to worry as the health condition of all the students was stable and treatment was being continued under the supervision of government doctors.
In order to continue treatment to students, a medical camp was also established in the hostel and it would be continued till all the students were recovered. Blood samples of students were also collected for medical examinations, he said.
