Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police caught 12 persons who were involved in cricket betting on the ongoing T20 World Cup, in the city on Sunday. The police seized cash, mobile phones and other articles from them.

On a tip off, the Commissioner’s Task Force teams raided around six places across the city and caught the gangs who were organising the cricket betting on the ongoing T20 world cup matches.

City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, said the police are keeping a strict watch on the persons involved in cricket betting. “We will invoke PD Act against the persons who are found indulging in cricket betting,” he said.
