Hyderabad: In one of the biggest hauls in recent times, the Madhapur SOT nabbed three persons in connection with drug peddling and possession here on Thursday.
Officials seized 183 grams Cocaine , 44 Ecstasy tablets and other material worth Rs.26.2 lakh.
The arrested persons are Mohd.Ashraf, drug peddler and consumers , Sravan Kumar and Charan Teja. The main drug peddler Zude from Goa is absconding.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M.Stephen Raveendra said Ashraf, who is a tutor, in view of the New Year’s Eve was procuring huge quantity of Cocaine from the main drug supplier Zude.
“He brought the Cocaine many times from Goa and sells the same to customers in Hyderabad for higher rates for easy money,” he said.
Sravan and Charan contacted Ashraf for drugs and ordered some for self consumption.
As per the plan, Ashraf procured cocaine from Zude and brought to the city to deliver it to Sravan and Charan.
Following a tip-off the police caught the trio and seized the drug.
