Hyderabad: Two persons who were allegedly involved in a hit-and-run case at Shahalibanda were detained by police on Thursday evening.
The two persons were driving a Mercedes Benz and rammed an auto-rickshaw at Shahalibanda, resulting in the death of a woman. Another person sustained serious injuries and is battling for life. Two cases were booked against them at Hussainialam and Moghalpura police stations. The police who checked surveillance camera footage tracked and seized the car.
However, they said the driver and his family had fled after locking their house. The driver, along with another person, was reportedly detained by the police late on Thursday evening. However, the police are yet to confirm this.
