Hyderabad: The Government Railway Police Secunderabad, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), caught a native of West Bengal for smuggling ganja on Monday. The police seized six kg of the banned contraband from his possession.
The arrested was identified as Shaik (26). During the checking, the GRP police found the ganja stuffed in the bag.
“Shaik was working for two ganja peddlers, including one Ali Khan of Odhisa. On Sunday, Ali Khan handed the ganja consignment to Shaik, asking him to hand it to another peddler, Joy, in Mumbai. Ali Khan paid Rs 10,000 to Shaik per trip,” said SN Jaweed, DSP GRP Secunderabad. A case was registered.
