Hyderabad: 26-year-old shopkeeper dies of electrocution in Balanagar
A 26-year-old shopkeeper died of electrocution in Balanagar, Hyderabad, on Monday night while allegedly trying to secure a loose signboard. Police said Sanju Choudhary came into contact with nearby high-tension power lines and later died at a private hospital.

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old shopkeeper died of electrocution while allegedly attempting to secure a signboard at his shop in Balanagar on Monday night.
The victim, Sanju Choudhary, was a native of Gujarat and had moved to Hyderabad with his family around a decade ago. The family runs a glass and hardware shop in Balanagar and resides on the floor above the shop.
According to the police, Sanju, who was looking after the business after noticing that the name board fixed to the shop wall had come loose, had climbed up to secure it with binding wire. While doing so, he came into contact with nearby high-tension power lines above.
He suffered a severe electric shock and fell unconscious. He was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
The Balanagar police are investigating.
