Hyderabad: 42 caught betting at illegal carrom club in Asifnagar
An illegal carrom gambling club was busted at Zeba Bagh, Asifnagar, by the Commissioner’s Task Force. Forty-two people were caught placing bets, and Rs 10,000 was seized. Organiser Nazeer reportedly collected commissions. All were handed over to local police.
Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force team raided a house at Asifnagar where illegal carrom board club was being run and caught 42 persons on Saturday night. The police seized Rs 10,000 cash from the place.
Acting on a tip off, the team raided the house of one Nazeer at Zeba Bagh and found the 42 people playing carrom game and placing bets. Nazeer was taking commission from the participants.
The 42 persons along with the cash and other property were handed over to Asifnagar police station for further action.
