Hyderabad: 454 motorists caught during drunken driving check on Saturday night

Cyberabad police booked 454 motorists during a drunken driving check on Saturday night, with 17 offenders recording dangerously high BAC levels. Most cases were reported by Miyapur, Alwal, and Jeedimetla police. All offenders will be produced before court.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police, during a drunken driving check conducted on Saturday night, apprehended 454 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Among those caught were:

  • Two-wheelers – 372
  • Three-wheelers – 22
  • Four-wheelers – 57
  • Heavy vehicles – 3

Of the total, 17 offenders were found with Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels exceeding 301 mg/100 ml, a dangerously high level.

Police registered cases against all offenders. All individuals will be produced before court as per legal procedure.

The highest number of cases were recorded by the Miyapur Police (53), followed by Alwal Police (43), and Jeedimetla Police (41).
