During a weekend drunken driving check, Cyberabad traffic police caught 405 drivers, including two-, three- and four-wheelers and heavy vehicles. Courts heard 199 cases last week, penalising 188 offenders and sentencing 11 to jail
Cyberabad police booked 454 motorists during a drunken driving check on Saturday night, with 17 offenders recording dangerously high BAC levels. Most cases were reported by Miyapur, Alwal, and Jeedimetla police. All offenders will be produced before court.
The driver, Y Shiva Reddy (35) was caught by the police on June 18 during the special drunk driving check. His BAC level was recorded at 202 mg/ 100 ml.
