Hyderabad: 60-year-old milk vendor attacked with sickle in Vanasthalipuram

A 60-year-old milk vendor was allegedly attacked with a sickle by unidentified assailants in Vanasthalipuram on Friday morning. He suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a private hospital. Police suspect a land dispute and are examining CCTV footage.

Hyderabad: A 60-year-old milk vendor, Bhujanga Rao, was allegedly attacked with a sickle by unidentified assailants in Vanasthalipuram on Friday morning.

According to information available, the attackers chased Bhujangarao while he was riding his bike and attacked him on the main road near the NGO’s Colony bus stop around 6 am.

He suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby private hospital, where his condition is reportedly critical.

The Vanasthalipuram Police suspect that a land dispute may have triggered the attack.

A police team inspected the crime spot and is examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the assailants.
