Hyderabad: AIMIM corporator complains of threat calls

The police, who have booked a case, said Langer Houz corporator Mohd Wajhi Uzzama was getting the threat calls for the last few days, with the callers abusing him.

Hyderabad: The AIMIM’s Langer Houz corporator Mohd Wajhi Uzzama has approached the police saying he was getting threat calls from unidentified persons.

The police, who have booked a case, said the corporator was getting the threat calls for the last few days, with the callers abusing him.

“On Wednesday, the person called me again and threatened to murder me on the road in full public view. So I have lodged a complaint with the police,” the corporator said.

Preliminary enquiry by the police indicated that the calls were made through VOIP-based applications. Investigation is on.
