Hyderabad: The GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has won the ‘Excellency- Gold Award’ in the Telangana State Energy Conservation Awards – 2021 (TSECA). The award was presented for GHIAL’s initiatives in conserving energy.
Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan presented the award to senior officials from GHIAL during the Energy Conservation Week celebrations here recently.
The annual forum recognizes the companies engaged in energy efficiency initiatives that adopt best practices and technological advancement in their daily operations.
Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL, said the award was testimony to GHIAL’s commitment towards energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The Hyderabad International Airport is also a Carbon Neutral Airport having Level 3 + ‘Neutrality’ Accreditation from the Airports Council International (ACI) under its Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme.
