Hyderabad: Auto driver dies by suicide in Asifnagar
A 37-year-old auto driver died by suicide at his home in Asifnagar on Saturday night. Police said family-related issues may have caused distress. A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way.
Hyderabad: An auto driver died by suicide at his house in Asifnagar, reportedly due to family issues, on Saturday night.
According to the police, the man, G Prasad (37), a resident of Shyamnagar, Asifnagar, stayed along with his wife, Latha and children. For a few months, Prasad slipped into depression over family-related issues and started consuming alcohol regularly. On Saturday evening, he hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the house when his wife, Latha, went to office.
Latha told the police that Prasad slipped into depression after his father distributed ancestral property among the stakeholders and might have committed suicide. The Asifnagar police registered a case and are investigating.
