Hyderabad: A local court at Choutuppal on Friday sentenced an auto trolley driver for two years of rigorous imprisonment in connection with a fatal accident at Pochampally in 2015. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 8,000 on him.
The convicted person was N Ramaswamy (45) from Naginenipally of Bommalaramaram in Yadadri-Bhongir district. In August 2015, Ramaswamy drove his auto trolley carrying construction workers, in a rash manner and crashed into a culvert on the road near Pochampally. While one woman passenger died on the spot, nine others suffered injuries. The Pochampally police booked a case and arrested Ramaswamy.
