Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police on Monday arrested a Bangladeshi woman on charges of cheating and illegally staying in India. She indulged in flesh trade too and was caught several times, the police said.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit had recently busted an inter-country human trafficking racket and rescued a Bangladeshi woman at Saroornagar. The arrested suspect was Shilpi Bishwas alias Munni alias Moina Akhtar (34) from Bangladesh. According to the police, Munni was earlier involved in prostitution cases and violation of Foreign Act cases and was staying illegally in India.
“She indulged in prostitution cases and was recently rescued from a sex racket. She had then concealed her real identity from the police, including her profession and her native country,” police said, adding that during the investigation, it was found that she was a Bangladeshi as per her passport and voter ID. She did not have a valid Visa after coming to India about a decade ago. In Hyderabad for the last four years, she was working as a beautician in Kothapet.
