Hyderabad: BITS Pilani holds convocation for 8,450 WILP graduates
BITS Pilani celebrated the achievements of 8,450 working professionals graduating under its Work Integrated Learning Programmes. About 1,050 attended in person, while over 7,400 joined virtually through Metaverse technology, including 122 graduates from 24 other countries.

Hyderabad: The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani organised a convocation to commemorate the academic achievements of 8,450 working professionals who graduated with different MTech, MBA, MSc, and BTech programmes from the institution’s Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP).
While about 1,050 graduates attended the convocation in person, more than 7,400 graduates participated virtually with the help of Metaverse technology. Around 122 of them graduated from 24 other countries as well.
Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) CEO, Dr Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, said it was wonderful to see the impact made by the WILP on thousands of professionals. “I have seen the challenges such professionals go through and the commitment they have to earn this coveted degree. There is also a huge opportunity to use the thesis option to drive deeper industry-academic collaboration,” he said.
BITS Pilani Vice Chancellor Prof V Ramgopal Rao, BITS Pilani Off-Campus Programmes & Industry Engagement Director Prof G Sundar and Former Union Minister P Chidambaram also participated.
