Hyderabad: Body of 7-year-old girl reported missing since Saturday found stuffed in bag
The girl’s family had migrated to the city from Adilabad about seven months ago in search of work and stayed in Suraram. Her parents are construction workers.
Hyderabad: The body of a seven-year-old girl, who was reported missing since Saturday, was found stuffed in a bag in Gundlapochampally in Medchal on Tuesday.
The girl’s family had migrated to the city from Adilabad about seven months ago in search of work and stayed in Suraram. Her parents are construction workers.
Police sources said the girl went missing on October 12 and the family lodged a complaint with the Suraram police. A case was booked and investigated. Even as the police teams were searching, the local residents found her body in a bag in Basaragadi in Gundlapochampally.
On being alerted, police from Medchal reached the spot and inspected it. The Suraram police who are probing the missing case too visited the spot.
The CCTV footage from the roads leading to the crime spot is being examined. Officials said all possible angles including sexual assault are being probed. The body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy.
