Hyderabad: Bomb threat email to Gulf air flight at RGIA turns out to be hoax
A Gulf Air flight from Bahrain received a bomb threat email before landing at Hyderabad’s RGIA on Wednesday. Passengers were safely deboarded and the aircraft was inspected. No explosives were found, and officials later declared the threat a hoax.

Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed after a bomb threat e-mail was received for a Gulf Air flight from Bahrain at the RGIA in Shamshabad on Wednesday. However, the aircraft landed safely and was moved for emergency checks, only to find that no explosives were planted.
According to information available, Gulf Air flight GF-274, which arrived from Bahrain, received a bomb threat email. As a precautionary measure, the pilot landed the aircraft at the airport following standard security protocols.
Soon after landing, all passengers were safely de-boarded and shifted to an isolation area within the airport premises. Security personnel, including bomb disposal squad, conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
After an extensive search operation, authorities confirmed that no explosive device was found on board. Officials declared the threat a hoax after completing the mandatory security checks.
The RGIA police are investigating.
