Hyderabad: The sequence of scattered thunderstorms coupled with high temperatures and humid conditions during this year’s summer has continued to prevail in Hyderabad and parts of Telangana.

On Friday, people in several parts of Hyderabad enjoyed moments of reprieve from intense heat when the sun played hide and seek with the dark clouds. However, certain parts of the city were not as fortunate, with local temperatures hovering between 38 degree Celsius and 39 degree Celsius along and humidity at 40 percent, making conditions difficult for people of Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, in some more good news, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad, has extended its thunderstorm warning for-three-more days till Monday. According to IMD-Hyderabad officials, there will be thundershowers at isolated locations and at the same time, temperatures in several districts will hover between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.

Hyderabad and its neighboring districts of Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy, however, will continue to experience thunderstorms and maximum temperatures will remain between 36 degree Celsius and 39 degree Celsius.

An orange alert of intense heat between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius between Friday and Tuesday has been issued for Adilabad, Jagtiyal, Kamareddy, Kumarambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy and Vikarabad.

The IMD-Hyderabad has also issued a yellow (medium) thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) warning till Sunday at Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
