Hyderabad: Bullet found with man at Moosapet metro station
A 9 mm bullet was found in a passenger’s bag during screening at Moosapet Metro Station, triggering a brief security alert. The passenger, Mohammed Ahmed from Bihar, was detained, and Kukatpally Police launched an investigation into how he obtained the bullet
Hyderabad: Security personnel went into a tizzy after a 9 mm bullet was found in the bag of a youth at the Moosapet Metro Station on Saturday night.
The passenger was identified as Mohammed Ahmed, a native of Bihar, who works in a fabrication unit here.
Ahmed placed his bag for screening before boarding the metro train. The security personnel at the station noticed the bullet during the screening of the bag and apprehended Ahmed.
On a complaint by the metro security officials, a case was registered at the Kukatpally Police Station. Police launched an investigation to determine how the bullet came into the passenger’s possession.
In another news, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted surprise checks at 12 check posts of the Road Transport Authority on Friday night. Officials seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 4.18 lakh during the operation. The checks were carried out across various districts of Telangana.
ACB officials stated that a detailed report would be submitted to the government, recommending appropriate action against those concerned.
