Hyderabad: Car wreaks havoc at NTR Ghat

As per available information, the car which was allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner went out of control and first crashed into the road median and jumped onto the pavement

Hyderabad: A car wreaked havoc at NTR Ghat in the early hours of Monday. The car hit the road median and went up the pavement. No casualties were reported. A major life threat was averted as there was no one on the road or on the pavement.

As per available information, the car which was allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner went out of control and first crashed into the road median and jumped onto the pavement. The car was proceeding from Secretariat towards Prasad’s IMAX, when the incident occurred.

An electric pole and two trees were destroyed in the accident. The Saifabad police are investigating whether the driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol. The CCTV footage from nearby spots is being examined.
