The police registered a case and on suspicion picked up Bhagyalaxmi who admitted to stealing the gold ornaments from the house.
Hyderabad: A care taker who committed theft of gold ornaments from the house of her employer was arrested by the Marredpally police on Thursday. The police recovered 230 gm of gold ornaments from her.
According to the police, the suspect identified as G Bhagyalaxmi (38) a resident of Tukaramgate in Secunderabad, was working as a caretaker at the house of Kishan Narayan located at Marredpally for the past two years. A few days ago, Kishan Narayan noticed gold ornaments including bangles, necklace and other ornaments missing from the cupboard and approached the Marredpally police.
The police registered a case and on suspicion picked up Bhagyalaxmi who admitted to stealing the gold ornaments from the house. “The woman took away the gold ornaments from the house and kept at her house. She was looking for some persons who would buy the ornaments,” said M Mattiah, SHO Marredpally police station.
The police recovered the property and arrested her. She was produced before the court and remanded.
