Hyderabad: Case of suspicious death of woman turns out to be murder
Afterwards, Saritha informed about the death of Shireesha to her husband Vinay, who along with his nephew Nihal, informed everyone that the victim died of heart attack.
Hyderabad: The case of the suspicious death of a woman nurse at Chaderghat reported early this month turned out to be a cold blooded murder with the police arresting three people including her husband on Wednesday.
The victim Mugala Shireesha (34), a resident of Jamuna Towers, Malakpet, had worked as nursing supervisor at Vivera hospital until February end. She was married to Vinay Kumar, in 2016. The marriage was arranged by Vinay’s sister Thummalapally Saritha, who worked at Vivera Hospital as an occupation manager.
According to the police, on February 28, Shireesha had resigned from her job at Vivera hospital. On coming to know about it the next day Saritha confronted her asking the reason that prompted her to leave the job.
An argument ensued between Shireesha and Saritha during which both of them pushed and hit each other. Later, they reconciled and went to their rooms in their house. “A little later, Shireesha asked Saritha to administer an injection. Keeping in mind the conduct of Shireesha towards her, Saritha administered high dose of midazolam via an IV cannula to Shireesha. Due to it the victim went into deep sleep. Then Saritha took a pillow and smothered Shireesha to death,” said ACP Malakpet, G Shyam Sunder.
Afterwards, Saritha informed about the death of Shireesha to her husband Vinay, who along with his nephew Nihal, informed everyone that the victim died of heart attack. They planned to shift the body in their native place Domalapental, Nagarkurnool district. However, on suspicion a relative of Shireesha approached the police and made a complaint.
The police took into custody Vinay who on questioning spilled the beans. The police later took into custody Saritha and Nihal. All the three persons are arrested and remanded.
