Hyderabad: Charred body of unidentified woman found in ORR at Muneerabad

Hyderabad: The charred remains of an unidentified woman was found under the Road under Bridge (RuB) on the bypass road of the ORR at Muneerabad in Medchal on the city outskirts on Friday.
Police suspect unidentified persons first bludgeoned the woman to death with boulders and later poured petrol and set the body on fire. The body was beyond recognition. Local residents panicked on seeing the body and informed the police. The Medchal police have registered a case and are investigating.
Medchal ACP B Srinivas Reddy said they received information of a charred body of a woman aged between 20 and 30 years and married. They immediately reached the spot along with the CLUES team.
“Whether the woman was murdered and burned or burnt alive will be known only after an autopsy is done. If she was sexually assaulted before killing will also be known during the investigation process. We are collecting the details of the woman,” the ACP said.
The CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is being examined to identify the victim and the assailants. The police are also suspecting the deceased woman to be a native of another state.
Four special teams have been formed to solve the case at the earliest.
