Hyderabad chess players can compete for Rs 30,000 at A2H Academy

A2H Chess Academy will organise open rapid and blitz chess tournaments at its Kukatpally campus on October 21, offering a total prize pool of Rs 30,000. The events are open to players of all ages and skill levels

Hyderabad: A2H Chess Academy will organise open prize-money rapid and blitz chess tournaments on its campus in Kukatpally on October 21, with a total prize pool of Rs 30,000.

Each event will feature six rounds in the Swiss league format, with the latest FIDE rules applicable.

The rapid event will have a time control of 15 minutes per player, with a five-second increment per move. The blitz event will have a time control of five minutes per player, with a two-second increment per move.

There is no age limit, and the tournaments are open to all players, including rated, unrated and new players.
