Hyderabad: City Civil Court issues stay orders on results of TOA elections
The boxing association filed a complaint with the City Civil Court, alleging they were denied voting rights in the elections. After reviewing their petition, the court allowed the elections to proceed but placed a stay on the declaration of results.

Hyderabad: The City Civil Court has issued a stay on the results for the Telangana Olympics Association (TOA) elections held at LB Stadium on Thursday.The elections are being conducted for the TOA working committee. There is a stiff competition between State government Sports Advisor AP Jithender Reddy and Badminton Association vice president Chamundareswaranath for the president post.
The boxing association had approached the City Civil Court complaining that they were denied voting rights in the elections. After considering their petition, the City Civil Court, permitted the elections to be conducted but issued a stay on the results to be declared.
There is fierce opposition over AP Jithender Reddy participation in the elections. Apart from being a part of the government and Sports Advisor, the 70 year old, AP Jithender Reddy was contesting the elections against the National Sports Code ( 2011) guidelines, a section supporting Chamundareswaranath has been complaining.
Meanwhile, there is a competition for TOA General Secretary and Treasurer posts and the persons for other posts are likely to be elected unanimously. While, Babu Rao and Malla Reddy for contending for the General secretary post, Satish Goud and Pradeep Kumar are fighting for the Treasurer post.
