Hyderabad: Class X student ends life after parents scold him over mobile phone use

Seventeen-year-old Sharya Singh, son of Balwant Singh, lived in Martanda Nagar, New Hafizpet, Miyapur, and was a Class X student at a local school.

Hyderabad: Upset over his parents reprimanding him for excessive usage of mobile phone, a minor boy died by suicide by hanging in his house in Miyapur on Tuesday night.

Sharya Singh (17), son of Balwant Singh, residing in Martanda Nagar, New Hafizpet, Miyapur, was studying in Class X at a local school.

In the past too, his parents had scolded him for using his mobile phone too much daily and not concentrating on studies.

Last night, Shaurya Singh, who was upset after his mother scolded him for using his phone, committed suicide by hanging himself with a dupatta from the ceiling fan in the bedroom.

The Miyapur police are investigating.
