Hyderabad: With a broom in one hand and pen in another, contract assistant professors swept the Osmania University campus roads as part of their protest demanding the State government regularise their services.
Protesters have been demanding the government extend job security, besides providing basic, DA and HRA with an annual increment of three per cent. They complained that despite submitting representations on their issues to government officials for the past 15 months, nothing had been achieved.

Meanwhile, contract assistant professors protested in Palamuru University Vice Chancellor’s chambers and Kakatiya University’s registrar office, demanding that their demands be brought to the government’s attention and fulfill them immediately.
Protests were also held at Satavahana University, RGUKT-Basar, and Dr BR Ambedkar Open University.
