Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Detective Department sleuths arrested a contractor for allegedly cheating the Niloufer Hospital by submitting fake bills and siphoning off Rs 1.2 crore. According to the police, K Suresh Babu , a diet contractor at Niloufer Hospital supplied food to patients.
“He started preparing fake bills mentioning more quantity than actual supply and caused a loss of Rs 1.2 crore to the government,” said Avinash Mohanty, Joint Commissioner of Police, Detective Department. Based on a complaint, the police booked a case against him and after investigation arrested him on Monday. He was produced before court and remanded.
