Hyderabad: Cop reprimanded for misconduct

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar attached a police constable working at Bhavaninagar police station to City Armed Reserve headquarters for misconduct while dealing with the public.

On Saturday night, mild tension prevailed at Talab Katta under Bhavaninagar police station after the policeman N Shiva Kumar had reportedly hit a youngster with a lathi resulting in bleeding injuries. A mob gathered and protested outside the police station after the incident.

However, the situation was defused after intervention of the local AIMIM corporator Dr Sameena and other senior police officials.

In another development, a video of a police Inspector using foul words against a person went viral on social media. In the video, the official identified as a traffic police Inspector is seen abusing a man who falls on his legs and begs for his vehicle which was seized by the traffic police.

The incident took place at Madina Building cross roads on Saturday morning. Some persons who were at the scene filmed the incident and shared it on social media platforms.
