Hyderabad: Cops don ‘corona helmets’ to create awareness
Interacting with the media, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said 80 major and 35 small checkposts were set up across the city
Hyderabad: An awareness campaign on Covid-19 was organised by the City Police on Wednesday at MJ Market, during which Mounted Police, Traffic policemen and Law & Order cops were seen wearing helmets resembling the coronavirus.
Interacting with the media, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said 80 major and 35 small checkposts were set up across the city. “So far, 5,000 vehicles have been seized and 7,000 cases were registered against lockdown violators. Some people are still moving on the road unnecessarily though the entire 14,000 strong police force is on the road enforcing lockdown,” he said.
