Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Thursday distributed jackets to 600 Blue Colts officers and 500 Patrol cars officers. Speaking on the occasion, Anjani Kumar said a new policy is being implemented in the city since January.
“The Blue Colt officer and the patrol car officer themselves will receive the complaints and register the FIR, petty cases and send them a receipt. So far, more than 2,000 cases have been registered by the police in this way,” he said.
He said that there is a very big responsibility on the patrol and Blue Colt’s officers for prevention and detention of crime and collection of intelligence and community policing.
“During the crisis times, we are receiving 300 to 400 Dial 100 calls. We are trying to reach them in 8 to 10 minutes. It is our commitment,” he added.
