Hyderabad CP holds high-level meeting to enhance response in city during heavy rains
The meeting emphasized on proactive response by all the stakeholders and deliberated on the immediate measures required
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner, CV Anand along with MA&UD Principal Secretary, Dana Kishore held a high level meeting with officials of GHMC, HYDRAA, HMDA, Rachakonda and Cyberabad police to enhance coordination and quickly respond during heavy rains and flash floods in the city.
The meeting emphasized on proactive response by all the stakeholders and deliberated on the immediate measures required which include proper diversions, transmitting weather forecast notifications and traffic advisories to the public more quickly, putting signages at water logging points and work out engineering changes required to prevent water logging.
It was decided to hold a joint workshop, form a high level committee comprising traffic commissioners of tri-police commissionerates, civic body and other departments to study the problems and work out the solutions. Also, it was discussed to liaison with IT companies and have a common communication platform for all departments.
GHMC Commissoiner, Amrapali Kata, HMDA Commissioner, Sarfaraz Ahmed, HYDRAA Commissioner, AV Ranganath, and other officials participated in the meeting.
