Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner and Additional District Magistrate (Executive), VC Sajjanar, on Saturday, conducted a special court to curb the escalating activities of 10 rival gangs operating in the South, South East and South-West zones.
The action follows detailed reports presented to the court by local police outlining a series of violent incidents, including murders and attempted murders, which arose from ongoing retaliatory clashes between the groups linked to Deendar Anjuman based in Asifnagar and other criminal networks in the city.
As a preventive measure, the commissioner bound over 86 persons under Section 126 of the BNSS, 2023, directing them to maintain peace for one year.
All individuals had executed security bonds, with a clear warning that any breach during the bond period would lead to forfeiture of the bonds and further legal action.
