Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team caught two persons who were allegedly organizing cricket betting at Hussainialam on Sunday. The police seized Rs. 76,000 cash and two mobile phones from them.
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Yogesh Yadav (24) of Hussainialam and Dharmender Singh (49) of Mangalhat while they were accepting betting amount from the punters.
“Both the persons were organizing online betting illegally on the ongoing IPL matches at the house of Yogesh Yadav at Hussainialam. On information a raid was conducted and they were caught,” said G Chakravarthy, Additional DCP Task Force.
The two persons along with the seized property were handed over to the Hussainialam police station for further action.
