Hyderabad: Hyderabad produced a brilliant all-round performance to score an emphatic nine-wicket win against the formidable Mumbai in the Super League Group B match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 cricket championship at Pune on Friday.
Batting first, Mumbai was bowled out for 131 with India star and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (29, 20b, 6×4), Hardik Tamore (29, 26b, 2×4, 1×6) and Suyansh Shedge (28, 22b, 2×4) being the main scorers.
For Hyderabad, India pacer Mohd Siraj (3.4-0-21-3) and left-arm pacer Chama Milind (4-0-36-2) bowled in tandem to rock the Mumbai line-up. They were well supported by left-arm spinner Tanay Thyagarajan, who returned with a fine spell of 4-0-27-2.
In reply, Hyderabad was in a hurry, achieving the target in just 11.4 overs with opener Aman Rao (52 not out, 29b, 5×4, 3×6) and seasoned campaigner Tanmay Agarwal (75, 40b, 7×4, 4×6) putting on 127 in 11.2 overs before the latter got out.
In a welcome gesture, Siraj, who was declared the man of the match, shared it with Tanmay.
