Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters con event manager
On one of the instances the woman sent videos and persuaded the victim to start a nude chat. On being lured by the con woman, the man indulged in explicit chat. The woman recorded the act and later blackmailed him into transferring Rs. 10 lakh
Hyderabad: An event manager from Tarnaka in the city lost Rs. 10 lakh to cyber fraudsters.
According to the police, the victim accepted a friend request sent by an unknown woman on Facebook and started conversation with her. After a few days, the woman asked his mobile phone number and the couple chatted over WhatsApp for a few more days.
“On one of the instances the woman sent videos and persuaded the victim to start a nude chat. On being lured by the con woman, the man indulged in explicit chat. The woman recorded the act and later blackmailed him into transferring Rs. 10 lakh,” said Hyderabad cyber crime police officials.
On a complaint made by the man the cyber crime police booked a case and are investigating.
