Hyderabad: Cyber fraudsters impersonating officers to extort money, warns RTC MD Sajjanar

Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer and Managing Director TSRTC, V C Sajjanar, on Thursday warned people against falling prey to cyber fraudsters who are threatening and extorting money by claiming to have issued a digital arrest warrant.

In a post on social media platform X, Sajjanar said cyber criminals are impersonating police, NCB, CBI, RBI and other law enforcement agencies. They extort money by convincing vulnerable people that they are under digital arrest.
