Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime police facilitated a refund of Rs 36.50 lakh to a senior citizen who was duped by cyber fraudsters and forced to transfer the amount.

The man aged around 71 years, received a call from some persons posing as customs officials who later duped him adopting the ‘FedEx fraud’ modus operandi of Rs 43 lakh.

The man made a complaint with the police later and a case was registered. The police could manage to put on hold an amount of Rs 36.50 lakh and after legal process through court got the amount refunded to him.
