National Lok Adalat receives good response in Warangal, Khammam

More than 19,000 cases were resolved at National Lok Adalats held in Warangal and Khammam, including FIR, e-petty, motor vehicle and cybercrime cases. Cybercrime victims received refunds of over Rs 93 lakh in Warangal and Rs 27.9 lakh in Khammam

Warangal/Khammam: As many as 8,288 cases were resolved at the National Lok Adalat held across the Warangal Police Commissionerate limits on Saturday, Commissioner of Police N Swetha said.

In a statement on Sunday, the CP said the court had ordered the refund of more than Rs 93 lakh to victims in cybercrime cases. The cases resolved through the Lok Adalat included 1,595 FIR cases, 2,171 e-petty cases, 4,522 Motor Vehicles Act cases and 134 cybercrime cases.

Similarly, Khammam Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt said the National Lok Adalat held across the district received a tremendous response, with around 10,955 cases suitable for settlement being resolved.

Of the resolved cases, 985 were FIR cases, 3,301 were e-petty cases, 6,621 were drunk-and-drive cases and 48 were cybercrime cases. An amount of Rs 27,90,612 was disbursed to victims in the cybercrime cases.

The Commissioners of Police thanked lawyers, litigants and legal services officials who contributed to the success of the National Lok Adalat in Warangal and Khammam.
