Hyderabad cybercrime police arrest 56 in April
Hyderabad Cybercrime police arrested 56 people in April across multiple states for cybercrime offences, seized mobile phones and chequebooks, and shut down 184 social media profiles running 801 illegal gaming and betting ads.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cyber Crime police station in the month of April arrested 56 individuals who were involved in various cyber crime cases.
The arrests were made in various States including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka. The police seized 34 mobile phones, eight cheque books, and other articles from the suspects.
Also during the month, as part of the cyber patrol enforcement, the police identified 184 social media profiles that were operating 801 paid advertisements promoting various online gaming and betting applications. The identified profiles were reported to concerned platforms and have been taken down to prevent unlawful activities.
