Hyderabad: Hyderabad Dance Festival 2026 will be held from April 18 to 26, bringing together artists across classical and contemporary dance forms in a nine-day, multi-venue celebration.

Founded by Vaibhav Kumar Modi, Harsha Maheshwari and Mohit Shridhar, the festival follows the theme “Innovation in Tradition,” exploring how dance evolves while staying rooted in heritage.

The first six days (April 18–23) focus on workshops and training sessions across styles. April 18 opens with partner dance forms such as tango, salsa and bachata, followed by folk and world dance on April 19. Hip-hop and street styles take centre stage on April 20, while April 21 features choreography intensives. Contemporary and expressive forms are explored on April 22, and April 23 is dedicated to classical traditions, including Bharatanatyam.

April 24 will host Urban Pulse, an open-format showcase of contemporary performances. On April 25, Earth Bound presents a day-long programme centred on wellness, sustainability and community engagement.

The festival concludes on April 26 with Rang-e-Hyderabad, featuring performances in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathak and Perini Natyam, alongside Hindustani classical music.

Supported by the Government of Telangana, the festival marks a significant moment in Hyderabad’s cultural calendar.

Workshops are priced at Rs 300 per session, while major performances are open to the public on a pay-as-you-can basis.
