Hyderabad: Decomposed body of woman found in gunny bag at Charlapalli Railway Terminal

A decomposed body of an unidentified woman, aged around 40, was found stuffed in a gunny bag at Charlapalli Railway Terminal in Hyderabad. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to establish her identity and trace the culprits.

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the Charlapalli Railway Terminal after a decomposed body of an unidentified woman was discovered near the north entrance parking area on Tuesday.

According to police, a strong stench from a gunny bag alerted auto drivers, who immediately informed railway authorities. Upon inspection, police teams found the body of a woman inside the bag with her hands and legs tied.

Police said the victim, believed to be around 40 years old, was wearing a red saree.

Clues Team and Dog Squad personnel examined the scene and collected evidence before shifting the body to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy.

Efforts are underway to establish her identity. A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
