Hyderabad: Degree student ends life over alleged harassment

A 20-year-old degree student, Moulika, from Lalaguda, Hyderabad, allegedly died by suicide after facing harassment from a youth identified as Ambaji Naik. Police have registered a case based on her family’s complaint and are investigating the incident

Hyderabad: Allegedly upset over harassment from a youth in the name of love, a young woman died by suicide at her house in Lalaguda on Thursday.

As per available information, Moulika (20), a degree final year student of Railway Degree College in Tarnaka, was allegedly being stalked and harassed by Ambaji Naik of Manikeshwari Nagar for the past some days.

Unable to take further harassment, she is suspected to have hanged herself from the ceiling fan at her home.

Based on the complaint from the family members, the Lalaguda police booked a case and are investigating.
